Ceramics & Branding

In need of a tactile creative outlet, I began working with clay in 2016. Six years later, I felt it was time to start selling. Operating under the name Clayday Ceramics, I began selling my work in the Summer of 2022 at the New Orleans Arts Council's bi-monthly arts market, and at Merchant House, an antiques and interiors store on Magazine Street in New Orleans.

Designing my branding was a huge privilege. Much of my work is inspired by Ancient Greek and Roman pottery, so I wanted the Clayday Ceramics logo to share the same look and feel. The simplicity of the logo mimics the style of the pottery.

Along with the logo, I’ve designed business cards, stickers for packaging, an artist bio, and other stationery pieces. All of this has played an important role in building a brand and customer base, which has led to business collaborations and commissioned work.

The Shop

The holiday season of 2022 I was the artist in residence at Merchant House, an antique store in New Orleans. The shop has since continued to sell Clayday Ceramics. They merchandise my pieces among their other housewares, giving customers a styled visual.
